If You Couldn't Watch Sports, What Would You Watch?

As I have already mentioned today, I went to the Syracuse vs. Georgetown basketball game.  But after that, there were a lot of good college hoops games on the tube that I chose not to watch.

So it got me thinking.  If I couldn't watch sports (I know, gasp!), and every sports network that exists, or every network that occasionally airs sports wouldn't come through my television, what could I watch without needing sports for a few hours?

I've come up with one channel that could keep me from needing sports for an afternoon.  In fact, I could leave it on all day and not get bored.

The solution?  (Don't laugh)  The Food Network.

Think about it.  If you can't have sports, isn't the next best thing food?

They have shows teaching you recipes of all types of food, from fancy foods to sports bar foods to great deserts.  There are many chefs with different personalities that make learning about food interesting and fun.  The Food Network isn't paying me to advertise this.  But it's awesome, believe me.

I just spent the last few hours, while college basketball could have been found on any of probably seven networks on the basic cable here in Syracuse, watching a few shows on Food Network instead.

While I don't know what happened in most of the games today, I now have learned probably twenty different ways chocolate can be found in meals that I didn't know before.  And that is pretty cool, is it not?

What would be the network that you'd leave sports for?  Let us know.
