Results from our NFL Week 15 Preview

Now that NFL Week 15 is mostly in the books (Monday Night Football has yet to be played), let's take a look at how Scott and I fared in our predictions:

Our Results: W-L
Scott:   8-5
Jordan:   5-8
Push:          1 (TB @ ATL)
(And, FYI, both Scott and I took the Eagles Monday [-14] at home against the Browns.)

Good thing I didn't have money on these games, and these were picked just for fun.  Scott on the other hand is probably kicking himself that he didn't have some serious coin on the Sunday slate.  I got off to a rocky start as St. Louis was cruising early, leading 17-7 in the first half.  Then they realized the were the Rams, and the Seahawks rallied behind Scott's half time speech.  A 16-3 run in the second half by the 'Hawks and Seattle covers, and I lose.

It didn't end there, however.  Down by one late in the 4th quarter, the Titans had the opportunity to go ahead by two if Rob Bironas could boot in a 49 yard field goal with just two minutes left.   But, since Jeff Fisher wanted to help those of us who took Tennessee cover, he elected to roll the dice, and called a passing play.  Kerry Collins overthrew Justin McCareins and Houston wins, and Scott wins again.  Wonderful!

Then Miami won, which I predicted, but not by enough.  Scott wins again.  Indianapolis kept my dream alive of seeing the first ever 0-16 football team, by knocking off Detroit 31-21.  But, not enough to cover.  Another victory for Scott.  Minnesota completely embarrassed Arizona, destroying the theory that Arizona is great at home.  (They did enter today's contest 5-1 at University of Phoenix Stadium).  Scott?  Victorious.  Finally, it's a safe bet that the Super Bowl Champs will show up in Big D, right?  Considering the fact that TO was angry at Tony Romo and Jason Witten, and that the Giants won in Dallas last year en route to the Super Bowl, you'd at least figure they'd show up and cover.  Nope.  Do I need to say it again?  Scott wins.

We both won on New England and Pittsburgh.  Thank you to those teams for your contributions.  Kansas City managed to cover against hapless San Diego.  Same thing went for Buffalo, which completely blew it against the Jets (but, thank you Jets for only winning by four).  I also happened to be right about Jacksonville notching a win over Green Bay.  So it wasn't a complete failure.

Hopefully next week I'll have a little bit better luck.  Kudos to Scott for winning our inaugural week.
