I Can Buy My Shirt. I Am Happy

Normally, my theory on apparel is, don't buy it until your team either wins or loses a championship.

No one wants to be the jackass with the AFC Championship sweatshirt before the Super Bowl.

I'm superstitious (read:  stupid) enough to think that my purchase may or may not affect the outcome of the game.  For this reason, I've held off on buying Division Championship shirts, Conference Championship hats, or anything of the like until my team has reached its final conclusion.

However, I'm bucking that trend this year.  Syracuse, in a moderately interesting contest against a weaker Arizona State team, advanced to the Sweet 16.  That was, in truth, all I really wanted.

As a fan, anything beyond this point is gravy.  This was the bare minimum of what I wanted, because for some reason I doubt they make a NCAA Tournament Appearance T-Shirt, or a Terrific 32 cap.

Is the reasoning poorly formed, illogical, and above all, ridiculous?  Yes, quite.  But, this is coming from the same person who at one point thought his positioning on the couch and density of facial hair had an impact on the outcome of professional sporting events.
